Anything at all. What's the most New Mexico way to get around?
Why do I ask, you say? Because I'm tired of hearing that the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is the Ford F-Series. I'm more interested in what the best vehicle for the state should be.
If you think the most New Mexico vehicle happens to be the F-Series, then by all means put it down.
And as always...
Choose wisely!
This is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a 51-part series of Opposodes where I gather OppositeLock's view of America in the form of cars.

As an ex-NM resident, the best vehicle for that particular state is whichever one can get you out the fastest.

From my experience in passing through and staying in overnight hotels, I'd say something with a high belt line and tinted windows to avoid panhandlers, and a big enough gas tank to make it to the next state.

As a current NM Resident It would have to be a lowrider G-body Buick regal on Dayton wirewheels. Its so NM style LOL. (PS I am not a lowrider fan)

Some people do love it but there is a good reason native New Mexicans know the state slogan as "The Land of Entrapment". It is a great place to visit. There are tons of neat things to see - everyone should see Carlsbad, Los Alamos and the Balloon Festival. I spent twenty two years of my life in that state, in various locations including Albquequeuruequruqeure. I'll never go back

Nah the state you want to leave ASAP is Oklahoma.

Best one I saw while living in NM was a 1993 Camaro Z/28. Metallic purple, 13'' 100 spokes. Wheels sat so far out of the wells that the rear axle was bowing. Bowing.

Oklahoma - not even once.
(Never been, though I've lived right near it all my life)

After 10 years here, I've actually come to enjoy it. (NE OK - where it's still green and hilly)

Was stationed at Ft Sill OK (near Lawton OK) for the better part of a year. After that winter that's enough OK for me.

Good question. I'm going to say 1985 Land Rover Discovery, 90, Defender, but in beige or brown:

I have heard Lowrider folks call it "butterflying axle" for so reason.

My mother, aunts, and grandmother still live in ABQ. I grew up in Las Cruces (teen years in TEXAS, and I consider myself a Texan really, I went to UT after all), and I have done it all. Carslbad, Las Alamos (WHITE SANDS FIELD TRIPS), Yucca Pass, Elephant Butte, Rio Doso. The goddamed Whole Enchilada festival was the same weekend as my birthday. Every fucking year. It ruined my parties. But I am not bitter.

I grew up in the NW corner and always tried to consider myself from Durango instead. Hell, Ignacio would've been better. I can still smell the oil refineries to this day. My sister spent a good portion of her life in Carlsbad and did a lot of work mapping caves. That is the most interesting memory I have - we'd go down to see her and she'd pile me and my brother in her Suzuki Samurai (she had three of the awesome little things!) and we'd head out to a cave that was either unmapped or so off the grid that few others cared to go.
I also spent a lot of time in Los Alamos, competing in the NM Supercomputing challenge and touring the labs and all that fun science neat stuff. Had a school camping trip to Bandolier once too, that was pretty awesome. Still won't go back :|

I love the physicality of New Mexico, but I love the idea of Texas more. But neither are my home. Japan is my home.

Its a great state even after being in TX, OK VA and KY. Where did you move to if you doing mind me asking?

We're in Denver; I haven't gotten too far yet .

Ahhh I hear good things about Denver but I really like NM plus the car culture in Abq is great. I hear that small town NM is way different and worse than Albuquerque or Santa fe. My wife is from Philly and she came to NM via Santa Fe than Abq and she loves it here.

2003 Subaru Outback LL Bean Edition that just recently replaced a 1997 Outback.
For some reason, New Mexico gives me heavy lesbian vibes...

Nothing says NM like Santa Claus in a lowrider in the Christmas parade. One of my favorite quirks of this state.
